  1. Blown Fuse – This can be in the fuse in the plug or at the fuse box
  2. Socket Switched Off – Check the socket is not switched off at the wall
  3. Emergency Release Has Been Pulled – Make sure nobody has pulled on the release. If so open the door halfway and press the handset, the trolley should meet the release and connect
  4. Dip Switches On Handset Moved When Changing Batteries – If you have two handsets make sure the ten dipswitches are set the same, otherwise the code will not correspond to your unit
  5. Obstruction in Path of Door – Sweep the path of the door for stones kicked up by the car

How to Look After Your Door

  1. Lubricate all moving parts with light oil (WD40 is perfect), don’t forget the lock
  2. Coat all cables and springs in heavy oil or grease
  3. Keep the doorway clear of pushbikes and ladders and don’t lean garden tools by the door frame, the door will hit the obstruction and this will throw the cables
  4. Don’t put your bin in front of or in the path of the door
  5. Wash the door down at least twice a year to prevent the rusting or staining of the maintenance free finish.
